Another Book, this time with Beach Houses

“21st Century Beach Houses”, a new book by Andrew Hall, features our Seola Beach House, located along the shores of Puget Sound in Burien, Washington.

We really liked working on this project. Dealing with the sensitive qualities of waterfront sites is a challenge we enjoy. We had to deal with federal flood regulations, requirements of barge access for construction, setbacks, and other constraints. Nonetheless, the site offered us a great opportunity to design a home that merged the owners’ lifestyle with the unique qualities of the waterfront location.

It’s a nice book, with lots of interesting houses and vacation homes from around the world. If you’re in the neighborhood (Queen Anne, Seattle, Washington, USA), stop by our office and take a look.
